With Everything by Hillsong

PAUSE MUSIC on BOTTOM of blog to listen to this

This my fave song right now. We have sung it a lot at church lately. At church it has this exact feel to it. I tell Jon I feel like I am at Hillsong. I love it!! It reminds me of Rock Harbor as I felt like I was at a concert every week.

This song is one of my 2 fave songs right now. David Crowder is one of the best worship dudes around.

It's Raining....

It has rained for a couple days here and Easton is in heaven. He gets to use his new umbrella and his camo rain boots.
He loves his CARS umbrella and his rain boots....

Just what I want in my food and my kids food....

Like we didn't have enough reasons to avoid this junk in our food and our kids food.... here is yet another reason from the Washington Post:

Almost half of tested samples of commercial high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) contained mercury, which was also found in nearly a third of 55 popular brand-name food and beverage products where HFCS is the first- or second-highest labeled ingredient, according to two new U.S. studies.

We meet our son Easton Jonathan. My water broke at 11pm on 1/26 and he was born at 12:07pm on January 27th. The adventure of parenting began....
Before the hardcore contractions started. I was still smiling here...Oh, I thought this won't be that bad. Life is so good.....

We took lots of pictures and thought this will be so fun.....

Then they started and I was not happy and very uncomfortable. I did not want to post this pic b/c well I am not looking my best. Oh, well. That is why they call it labor, right!

Jon gettting some ZZZ since it was the middle of the night...
Having a snack while I labor. He asked if it was ok and I said it was.

NOTE THE NEXT 2 PICS are out of order. BUT OH, WELL!!!

Daddy and his boy.
Our boy was 7lbs 13 oz and 22 inches long

We meet

B-day fun for Jon and Easton

Birthdays are HUGE in my book. I often make them into week long events. So Jon's b-day was Wednesday and Easton's Tuesday. Since it has been cold here there was not much to do on Jon's actual b-day (except eat, HA) plus Easton had pre-school so I wanted to do something special with all of us as a family. Friday it was a pretty nice day in the 60's so I surprised Jon and we went out to the NASCAR speedway in Sieverville and he and Easton can raced cars. They had fun.
My Guys....

Daddy taking Easton for a spin on the big track

E loved it. Another car spun out and Easton said to Jon, "Ha Ha you crashed."

Drove the car on Baby Bristol

Driving the trucks. He takes his driving seriously.

Poor Makenlee could do nothing outside. She was too short. She was quite sad.

Makenlee found her shadow...

Makenlee found her shadow and it was so funny to watch her. She kept looking behind her, taking big steps, turning around, etc. to try to get rid of it. But is stayed right with her. She even screamed at one point to it. I wish I would have had a video recording of it. I could not stop laughing.
Someone is following me....

Step Step

Get off

Go away!!!

At this point she started running away screaming....

Family pics

We have not done family pictures in a studio since Easton was 20 mo. old.
So can you say long overdue!! Here are some of the 118 pics that were taken. We also did Easton's 4 yr pics which I will post on his b-day next week.

33

Jon celebrated his 33rd b-day today. Woot Woot!!! We had a fab day together and as a family. We enjoyed all the free food that you get to have on your b-day at restaurants. We still have more places to hit up too. They give you a week after your b-day. YUMMY!!!
Easton was very excited to sing happy b-day to Daddy tonight. He loves b-days as much as I do so it makes it even funnier to celebrate. We decorated the house so when Jon got home this morning he was surprised.
Since Jon is 33. I decided to write 3+3=6 things I love the most about my hubbycakes.
1. Awesome hubby who serves me daily, dates me and wants to know my heart
2. Great Daddy. The kids adore him. He bathes them, changes diapers and never gripes.
3. Follows and serves Jesus daily
4. He is funny and witty
5. The man is so PATIENT
6. Kind hearted and very optimistic
We love you Jon (Daddy) and we are glad you had a great day!!!

The kids were so pround of their mini snowman. Not enough snow to make a real big one.

Snow frosted trees. How wintery!!

Out lil guy. Frosty!

M loved the snow today. This was her first time to REALLY play in it.

E loved running around and having snowballs thrown at him and making frosty.
