2 new teeth and a cruising girl
Makenlee's 2nd little tooth popped up this week and she is cruising around more and more everyday. She loves cruising around the couch and along the toy box. It is fun to watch her excitement for her new skills. She also stands up in the shopping cart, which has been a challenge as I go to grab something off a shelf and she is standing while balancing on the bar. This lady at Target, was like, "Ma'am, your baby is standing." I was like, oh my. I sat her down and she did it again. Makenlee kept laughing. Ahh the joy of an active 8 month old.

All Boy!!
Sorry if this offends anyone. But it is funny!!
This evening Easton comes running into the kitchen and says "Here you go" as he puts his hand out. I stick my hand out and say "What is it?' He said, "My booger." Then he goes, " Here is another one." ALL Boy!!!

Merry Christmas
We had a great Christmas. We are so blessed and the kids really enjoyed all their presents. Easton's favorites were the pirate ship and the Pat Pat Red Rocket. He keeps going back between the two to play with them. Makenlee likes her dancing monkey toy. Jon and I both got new bibles and a new movie and game. My favorite gift was a kitchenmaid mixer, I have been wanting one for a long time.
Makenlee had to have a few outfit changes to get all the outfits in today. Her first was her jammies Grammie and Grandpa got for this morning, then her baby's first Christmas sleeper, then her Christmas Dress, which she will wear when she gets up from nap.

Festival of Lights
We went to Concord Park to look at all the lights. It was very pretty. We decided we will probably do it every couple years since we went last year and it was the same exact thing. It was still fun to get bundled up and walk around though. Easton's favorite part was the candy cane after.
Twas the Night before Christmas
I got this a couple years ago from a friend and thought it was cooler then the normal story.

’Twas the Night Before Christmas... Bethlehem Style
’Twas the night before Christmas, when all through the land
all the creatures were stirring for the Glory at hand.
The stars were all hung in the crisp evening sky,
but one shone much brighter and hung twice as high.
The shepherds were watching their flocks o'er the hills,
while Angels appeared to tell them God's will.
And Mary on her donkey and Joseph with his staff,
had just arrived from a far away land.
When a rap on the door, arose such a clatter,
the innkeeper answered to see what was the matter,
“Away to the stable” was all he could say,
for the rooms were all full, there was no place to stay.
The star shining through the rafters with a glow
gave the lustre of riches to objects below,
When, what to my wondering eyes should behold,
but a miniature manger that belonged to a foal.
With a little whimper, and a cry so mild,
I knew in a moment it must be the Christ Child.
More rapid than eagles, His Angels they came,
and sang Glory to God as they called Him by name:
"Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Our Savior and King!
Emmanuel, Eternal Father, new born Prince of Peace!"
"Holy, Holy, Holy" their voices they rang,
more beautiful than harps or bells as they sang.
The hay glowed like Gold as we all stared in awe,
at the sight we beheld that night until dawn
Even the animals, they lay there so still,
With a sense of reverence, to abide in Gods will.
And then, in a twinkling, I saw down the road
three shadows approaching with camels in tow.
As I drew in my head and was turning around,
from the Orient, the East, Three Kings came to town.
They were dressed in fine robes, from their heads to their toes
and had crowns of bright jewels that sparkled and glowed.
And each bearing a gift, of the finest of things,
Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh, the first offering to their King.
His eyes-- how they twinkled! His dimples how merry!
His cheeks were like roses, His nose like a cherry!
His droll little mouth was drawn up like a bow,
and His soft precious skin was as pure as the snow.
The star twinkled above with a wonderful light,
as the glory of God, it pierced through the night.
He had tiny hands and a little round face,
that shone when he smiled, with humility and grace.
He was perfect and precious, possessing Eternal Wealth,
and I bowed when I saw Him, in spite of myself.
The Peace that I felt and the Joy in my heart,
soon gave me a Hope that my new life would start.
I spoke not a word, but went straight to my home,
to tell of His story to all that I'd known.
And the love that surrounded me, I just had to share,
The Prophecy Fulfilled, the Messiah was here!
And as morning gave way and the Angels ascended,
They sang of this Christmas and the Gift that was given.
Then I heard the Lord proclaim throughout the whole Earth
“Eternal Life I give, through my only Sons birth”

We had a birthday party for Jesus with the kids at small group. They really got into it. We decorated cupcakes and we also made gingerbread houses which Easton enjoyed eating more then making.

New Ornaments
I love Elizabeth's camera. She was sitting all the way across the room on my couch and she took these pictures. It has a great zoom.

1st Christmas present casualty
Well, I was wondering how long it would take before Easton went sneaking under the tree and open a gift. 5 days. I just came downstairs and he was playing with something I'd never seen. And low and behold there is wrapping paper all torn up around him....Thanks Grandma and Grandpa for the animal memory game. He loves it and is already playing with it.....
Homemade food baby
I have been struggling to get Makenlee to eat baby food. So Elizabeth was over and said let's try making her some homemade carrots. So we did and she gobbled them up. She loves homemade food. What can I say my girl already knows what good food tastes like. I had every intention of making all her food but then with going to CA and getting home she still was not into it and I was not going to make all this food to just throw it away. Well, I wish I would have done it a month ago and not now. Oh well. Here she is enjoying some homemade yummy avocado. I was feeding her peas yesterday at church and this lady said, "Gross what is that, it looks like ghostbuster goop. " I said, "Peas." It was so bright in color. Why wouldn't I want to feed my baby something fresh and yummy. I have the magic bullet so making her food is not hard at all. I love it. I never realized how easy and healthy it is too.
Recent Photo Shoot
We had our pictures taken a couple weeks ago. We wanted some family shots but none really turned out. But we did get some good ones of the kids. It was like 36 degrees. Easton was very cold so he was not to smiley in any of the family shots. Makenlee was happy throughout the whole shoot.

Merry Christmas
New toys and new friends
The night before we left CA we got to meet Luke and hang out with his Mommy Sarah. He is a few days younger then Miss Makenlee. It was fun to catch up and have Makenlee play with stuff her own size. She got to play in the Jumparoo. Which she never had before.
Hanging with Uncle Aaron and Uncle Joey
I was having issues with putting some of my CA pics on the computer only some downloaded. Well, they finally are now all downloaded. Joey and Aaron came by and hung with the kids and I then we went to Bj's for pizza...
the kids and the uncles

Easton still asks to play with Uncle Joey, he asks if Uncle Joey can come play at his house. We tell him that Joey is in Ca. He does not quite get it is a few states away.
Jeanne got my white elephent gift....ha
We had a Christmas party on Saturday and Jeanne got my white elephant gift and it provided lots of laughs for the night. It was an adult sized diaper if you cannot figure out what it is. She "accidentally" left it at Stacey's she told me later. I got it from a friend who is a home health nurse. It was hilarious when she opened the gift.
