Naked Butt

I was getting Makenlee in her jammies after the party and she kept trying to crawl away. I could not resist taking her a picture of her cute little butt.

Campout

Jon and Easton had a pirate cove campout in his room last night. Easton loved spending the night with Daddy!!

Easton's 3rd B-day

Today is E's 3rd B-day. We can't believe our little boy is already 3. WOW!!! He had a great b-day party yesterday with his little buddies. Everyone had a good time. The blue frosting from his cupcakes was a big hit as it dyed hands, faces and even the carpet and chairs...Whoops!! By the way when it comes out it is bright green. That was a bit scary today. Good all artificial coloring. Easton wanted Ruby Tuesday for lunch today so we went and he got a b-day sundae. He loved it.

Funny times at Lowes

I had to go to Lowe's to buy a new water heater at like 6:30pm tonight. Well, Jon was just getting off work so I was solo w/ the children. I was supposed to pay for it and the plumber was going to pick it up tomorrow. Well, the Lowe's man could not figure out how to ring it up and so we were waiting where they have the bathroom fixtures (toilet's, tubs, sinks) on display. Well, my son walks up to the toilet lifts up the seat and starts pulling his pants down. I caught him mid-pull and said, "Oh, no Easton those are not real pottys." I should have known then that he needed to go potty. But my brain was fried from a whirlwind day of appts., playing and party prep. Well, the next thing I know he is standing on top of a potty w/ a puddle of pee on the toilet seat. I walk over wipe it up w/ paper towels and then he says, " Mommy I went poop." Great is what I am thinking. I have nothing w/ me as I am solo mama. I call Jon who is now off work and on his way home. I tell him meet me at Lowe's. I need back up. I put Easton in a cart and tell him to stand there as I don't want it squished. Well, the Lowe's man walks by and says, "Ma'am he needs to sit down." I say,"He had an accident he is not sitting." He said, " Oh, Ok." So then Jon arrives like 10 min. later with a change of clothes from the car. We end up paying for the water heater and then I take E to the bathroom. (Side note the child forgot to put underwear on this AM and I was so tired that I was not about to make him pull his pants off to put them on so I thought well, he will free ball it. )Well, I go to take off his Ugg boot and guess what is inside. POOP!!!! Smeared all on the side. Can you say disgusting.....Oh, joy!!!! Anyone know how to clean suede boots? Do I wash them in the washing machine? So the reason the poop came out the leg hole was b/c the boy had no underwear on. SICK!!!

Daddy Fell

Poor Jon fell twice getting to his car today because of our icy walkway and driveway. The second time Easton and I saw it and then I guess Easton thought it was show so he got his chair to watch out the shutters. I hope Jon's ok he landed on his back really hard. Jon told us we were not allowed to leave the house unless it warms up because we may fall too. As I am not the most graceful walker anyway.

Go Pack Go

The kids and Jon were in their packer garb Sunday for the big game...
I love Daddy's kisses

Easton just woke up from his nap so he was not very photogenic.

Makenlee's cake

We had a cake at small group for Makenlee's dedication.

9 Months

Our little girl turned 9 months yesterday on daddy's b-day. I realized yesterday, she has been around longer then I was pregnant.
We had a girl's shopping afternoon. We got some deals at Kohl's (good clearance) and got some of Easton's b-day stuff done while Easton played at Sammie's house.

The new thing Makenlee does is stand and bang on our glass privacy door. It is funny.

Happy 32nd Birthday Jon

Yesterday was Jon's b-day. The kids and I took him to lunch and then I got him a yummy ice cream cake from Bruester's. We normally get each other Coldstone cakes. But all the Coldstone's closed here. So sad. But Bruester's has good ones so we enjoyed a mint oreo cake. I had the cake decorated in those colors for the Packers...Because I THOUGHT they'd win, but I guess they did not get my memo. Oh, well.

Life Verse

This is what we passed out at Makenlee's dedication. It has her life verse which is Proverbs 31: 25, 26 & 30"She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised. "

Veggie Tales

Jon took Easton to see the new Pirate Veggie Tale movie Thursday. Easton loved it. Easton loves pirates so it was a fun thing for them to go see.

Makenlee's Dedication

We dedicated Makenlee at church tonight. We were glad to share the night with our friends. Here are pictures after the service. I have to wait to get the others from church.

Do you see her 2 bottom teeth?

After the service

She's been locked out....

The gate is up now and Makenlee will just stand at it and try to open it by jiggling it. It is so funny to watch and hear. She acts like she is in jail or something. The second we open it to go upstairs she makes a beeline to try to get up those stairs. She is a quick little thing.

Splish Splash

Makenlee was having a ball splashing in the tub the other day. She loves to splash and she gets herself all wet. Good thing she is in the bath. Easton likes it too.

Book Tents

Here is Easton's latest room creation during some room time..He took all his books off his bookshelf to make little tents. It is a book village...

Christmas Outfits

Better late then never, right...

Outside fun

It has been cold here. But Tuesday it was clear and not so cold so we all went outside and had some fun. I wish we lived on a cul de sac for this reason to play outside and not to worry about cars flying down the street. But it is good to have friends that live in cul de sacs.

All the sayings

Easton has been picking up all the different sayings people say. Like tonight we were looking at a magazine and he looks at me and says, "pitiful." The other thing he says that he got from Jon is "No soup for you." It is from Seinfeld. The other is "Pity the fool". Jon and I's least favorite thing he says is "Oh Crap." Which we say sometimes that we shouldn't. He has only said that once though. Then there is Jon favorite, "Go Packers, oh man." Which Jon did not say a lot of the oh man part this year because they were pretty good. Trevor tells Easton, "No swiping" Which we hear a lot randomly throughout the day. Our boy sure is funny. Who needs entertainment when you have a nearly 3 year old.

6 years

Jon and I's anniversary is today. Wahoo!! I got a bit reflective and thought of our stats as a couple. (Saw this on Stephanie's blog, sorry for stealing it. But it is cool) 4 moves, 1 being x-country, 1 (500 sq foot studio apt in Huntington Beach, it was walking distance to the beach, you can't beat that) 4 churches, 6 cars, 2 kids, 1 home, 4 jobs for Jon (we are not counting all the little ones he had this last yr ) 2 jobs for me, 1 college graduation, 10 trips/vacations to 10 different states, 1 vacation to Jamaica, 1 Mexican Rivera Cruise, 2 Green Bay Packer football games that we went together to. 6 years of wedded bliss.....Priceless!!!

I love having an anniversary at the beginning of the year because every year we get to reflect on the previous year and talk about goals for us individually, in our marriage and also for our family for the following year . It is awesome with the stage Easton is in too because there are goals we have set for our family this year that he can be a part of and participate in.

Climbing the stairs

Look who is climbing the stairs now....I guess the gates need to go up.

She did it all by herself. Easton was at her side at one point encouraging her and then he ran up to the top of the stairs and said, "Come on Makenlee you can do it." He is so kind to her.

I wonder what she is thinking here.
Either look at me or come on Mom what are you waiting for, come with me.
She climbed 3/4 of the way up to the top then I grabbed her.

Jump Jump

Easton went to a b-day party at Pump It Up and he had a ton of fun. He was running around, bouncing and jumping. It wore him out. Which was great since it was an evening party.

Going down the slide.
Makenlee even enjoyed the slide. (the picture did not turn out, though)

A pirate cake. Easton loved playing with the Veggie Tale pirates on the cake. He even tried to steal one of Jaden's gifts which was the Veggie Tale pirate toy set. It was funny. I got some ideas for E's big b-day bash in a few weeks.

Crazy Hair

I gave Makenlee a bath the other day and then when I was brushing it after I decided to give here a mohawk. Her hair is so long on the top.

Happy New Year

We hope you had a great New Year's Eve. We had a blast with friends, food, games, lots of laughter and fun. Makenlee joined us in ringing in the New Year. Her teeth were either bothering her or we were too loud. Who knows? All in all we had fun and are looking forward to what 2008 holds for our family. 2007 had it's up and downs but all in all God was faithful and ultimately God gave us one of the best gifts this year in a giving us a healthy happy baby girl so we are thankful.
