Elizabeth's Cloth Diaper Shower

I along with Elizabeth's SIL, Jordan, threw a cloth diaper shower for my sweet friend Elizabeth back in March. She came to Knoxville from Memphis for the fun. She is due any day with her Baby Girl. Her first is Haley, Easton's friend. I miss Elizabeth dearly and it was so good to see her while she was here.
Cute dipes courtesy of Makenlee's stash and Cute Tooties (best CD store, shout out to my dear friend Sunny)

They love each other so much. This was before bed the other night.

Makenlee gets some string band aids!!

Makenlee fell off her tricycle and landed on her bum but then in the process of falling bit through her lower lip from top to bottom. So she needed 2 stitches in her bottom lip along the lip line. Ouch! But she did not cry and was a total toughie when the put the stitches in. That's my girl! No fear and no pain. The nurse called them string band-aids. I like that....We survived her first ER visit.
Just waiting

We passed the time by climbing on the bed and acting rather monkey like

All numbed up and ready for my stitches

Fat lip

All ready to go home

"I am ready to leave. Where are my discharge papers??"

Still cute even if she had to get 2 stitches in her lower lip

My lovely Mother's Day

It seems every year Mother's Day gets better for me as my kids grow. The kids made me super cute cards with reasons why they love me....E's was I love Mommy because she takes me to Chili's ( his fave restaurant these days and asks to go there all time ). Makenlees's was I love my Mommy because she always makes me pretty.
Jon made me cinnamon roll french toast. It was so yummy and probably one of the best one's I have had. Then we went to UT gardens and walked around. Then to TGIFriday's where we all ate for $10.83. Yes, since all there salads and sandwiches are $5 each. The kids eat free Sunday-Thursday. Jon nad I drank the kids free drinks. Plus Mother's got a free dessert and a coupon emailed for a free entree just for coming in on Mother's Day. Can you say,"SCORE" Then came home took a nap and enjoyed the rest of the day at home....A blessed Mother's day fror this Mama!!!

Since I love contests. I am trying to win the family four pack of tickets Southwest is going to give away to any destination Southwest serves in the U.S. I love southwest. Always have their airfare is cheap and they don't charge you for luggage and they still give you drinks and snacks for free. They are like the only airline that does that anymore.....if it is free it is for me....

Treasure Map

I have always told Easton that consingnment sales and yard/garage sales were treasure hunt. B/c you almost always find a tresure (menaing super cool thing for cheap). That is a tresure in my book. Well, I just found a real life treasure map that is supposed to find all the yard sales in your area listed on craigslist, and make you a map to hit them all. Click here. Super cool!!!
Enjoy.

I AM SCARY

This is me when you come after my kids. I am frickin' scary. My claws will scratch. My teeth will bite. And I will NOT back down. I can get REALLY REALLY REALLY mean, irrational mean, pissed off gonna draw blood mean.
Ahem. Now that I got that off my chest, I'm gonna have eat some brownies because STRESSED spelled backwards spells DESSERTS and that is what I eat when I am stressed.
Later!!!

Clown show

I have been subing for the last 2 weeks at a preschool like program at a church I used to go to Mom's grp at. Well, I take the kids w/ me when I sub and they then go into their age approraiate class. The class E is in is AWESOME....I serioiusly think the ladies in that class do an unbelievable job. I underestimated it b/c it was a new program and I did not enroll him in it b/c you just never buy a car in the first year of being manufactured. At least that was the analogy I used...Well, I wish I would have put him in it b/c Lori and Cindy are great and taught those kids so much....Anyway, E was in their class today and they had their end of the year program today. Since he was there last week he got to be in it this week since he practiced and made his clown hat. It was a clown show. So cute....All the kids were clowns and they did different circus acts.....

My lil clown

Last video

Here is the last video. Sorry I am posting these for the g-parents....

Easton's end of the year program

Easton had his end of the year program at preschool yesterday. It was very cute to watch all the kids sing and do the motions. One kid at point got bored and just laid on the floor....Anyway, Easton did pretty good and sang all the 6 songs. The older kids in the 4/5 yr old class are in the back row. Easton's class is the 3/4 yr old class. What a difference a year makes. The older kids did an awesome job and stood so still and did their motions so well. Very fun!!

Here are the videos we took. Easton was funny in a couple. He just put his hands in his pockets at one point and stood there...

Lost pictures found

So I have had to use my old (very slow) camera the last week or so since my new (cool, super fast) camera is at the camera hospital in NY. I found some old pictures from when I took E to the Mall for Handy Manny goes green event. We planted flowers in a flowerpot, decorated a tool box, watched a new Handy Manny episode and then we recycled water bottles and got 4 new reusable bottles from the Disney store. (side note, 3 of the 4 reusable bottles are in our recycle bin b/c once dropped they shatter not made w/ the best material) Anyway we had a fun afternoon just E and I. By the way to see if there is kidgit events at your local mall go to simon mall. We love the kidgit events.

What I don't want to see.....

Especially on a 2 year old!!!

Butt crack!!!
Luckily she is still in a diaper but this is ridiculous. Her 2T jeans are total low rise!! GRR! I am all about fashion and style but really 2 yr. old girl jeans do not have to be like this...Take back the crack!!!

My due date was 2 years ago today

My due date with Makenlee was 5/4/07. Praise the Lord she decided to come on her own at 38 weeks and 1 day. I really get quite emotional over my children's birthdays. But I am extra emotional over Makenlee maybe because she is a girl and most likely our last. Or maybe it is all we went through while I was preg w/ her. But I am so truly thankful for her, her life and the miracles and protection God had over her and I while I was preg. She is my love. I am on the verge of tears typing this b/c she means so much to our family. She brings me so much joy and brought me to a new level w/ the Lord that now I am truly thankful for. 2 years ago I was freaked out and worried. But good ol hindsight and perspective is pretty awesome.

These pics were taken on 5/4/07
Oh, my has she grown!!!
She had this cute little outfit w/ a hat and bib that all had an M on them.
Easton was and still is the best big brother to her. He loves to shower her with lots of affection even 2 years later.....Again so thankful they love each other so much.

Look how small E is too!!
Don't you love to look at old pictures and relive those memories. Well, I do. I just love to see how much the kids grow and mature.

Free stuff for birthdays

So birthday's are HUGE in our house. The kids and I LOVE birthday's. Jon has finally come around to realizing they are a big deal to me so he has jumped on my train. I like to throw fun parties for the kids and make their actual day super special. I have always known restaurants and stores give stuff free for your birthday. Well, I found a website that gives a list of all the places you can go for FREE.....What is even cooler is normally they send a anniversary freebie to for being on their email list every year.

For the last 2 weeks we have been eating all the freebies. 2 weeks ago we fed the kids and I dinner on the free meals. I have read the fine print and know which ones you have to dine in (some we have skipped b/c it is not cost efficient but others it has been if we split the free meal and so on or have a gift card) and which one you can order to go and then you don't pay anything.

Would you like some freebies too?? Go here to get them. I have 4 different email addresses to get each of us these coups. Well, not really. Between Jon and I and our individual email addresses there was nearly 4 there....Some places only allow one email even if their is more then one person in the home and others let you sign up the whole fam under the one email. I know that is how crazy I am about free food and freebies...

Congressman Paul on the Recent Swine Flu Scare

HMMM!! Why this stuff does not get me in a tizzy!
