Just reading a magazine

Easton had to go potty and so he did but he took his magazine with him. He was looking at pirate toys. Another funny thing is why do kids sometimes have to strip naked to go potty? I always think that is funny.

27 inches long

Our daughter is already 27 inches long. She has grown 7 inches in 6 months. Isn't that crazy. She is ready for a new car seat. Her little legs dangle out and she screams when she has to go into it.

6 months already...

Our baby girl is 6 months today. She brings us so much joy. I am so enjoying all the interaction we are all having with her too. She loves Easton and watches him so intently and the feeling is likewise. Today he got a book and read it to her. This week Easton was just rolling all over the floor cracking her up. She had the belly laughs going. Easton pretty much every morning asks to get baby up and he gives her lots of hugs and kisses thereafter. I cherish these special moments that we have as she is growing so quick.

Eating bananas...

Here she is eating her first solid food, bananas. She still does not get the whole solids thing quite yet. She spits it mostly out.

Fruit and Berry Patch

Easton pooped a pumpkin.

Outside the corn maze.

In front of the corn maze. Look at all the kids faces. All different.
At least Easton and Trevor are happy...

My kids love Baby Einstein

Look how intent they watch their movie. No wonder so many kids are couch potatoes they are in a trance to the TV god.

Shaving Cream Fun

I let Easton play with shaving cream but I let him do it in the tub so then I can just wash it all off with the shower water. Plus then I can wash him off in the there too. He loves to wipe it all over the walls.

Farm Pictures

Silly pictures of Makenlee.

Look how pretty the trees are.

Easton loved playing with the bubbles

Busy Week

We have had one busy week and it will be till Friday. Monday Easton got to go to Dollywood with some of his friends and I did not have to go...YIPEEE!! He had lots of fun playing with Eli, Trevor and Sammie. His favorite ride was the duck ride. The kids I hear played hard and all 3 boys slept the whole ride home. Today we had a farm day with some of the moms from Mom's N More. It was an hour and a half drive just to get there. Easton enjoyed running around in the wide open space, we toke a hayride and enjoyed a tresure hunt to find candy in the hay. It was a pretty drive up to the farm as all the trees are turning to be Fall colors.

Ready for the b-day party

Tomorrow is Sammie's 3rd b-day party so this morning we got her present ready and Easton decorated a card for her. I left the gift in my room and came downstairs. Well, like an hour later Easton comes down with his party hat on and the gift saying party, birthday cake. It was too funny. If you are wondering why he has no clothes on it is because he spilled water and I had not got him redressed again. Also this is the infamous hat that I have tried getting him to wear on his last 2 b-days and he refuses and cries. Now he wears it and it is not even his b-day....He is obsessed with hats now. He ripped this one though.

Easton got stickers

Easton loves to get mail and Grammie sent him Halloween stickers so he was excited to open the package and stick them on stuff.

50/50

This shirt was Easton's. I paired it with floral jeans and people still said, how old is your son. She won't be wearing it again. But I had to take a picture b/c the shirt is cute.

Chocolate Fountain...

We went over to Leah and John's (Eli's Mommy and Daddy) for a BBQ and Leah got out the chocolate fountain. The kids loved it as well as the adults of course. Here is Easton with his chocolate face. We had lots of fun dipping cookies. Easton's favorite was the mint oreos. YUMMY!!!!

Warning "I am 2"

The shirt and the picture says it all. Grandma got this shirt for Easton when she was on vacation over the summer. I told Jon that if he comes home and Easton is in the shirt it has been a bad day.

Western Night

We had a western night at church. There were games for the kids, face painting, crafts, cookie decorating and smores. Yummy!! Plus we got to watch Moe and the Big exit on the big screen. That was Easton's favorite. He loves that movie.
We went on a hay ride. Easton was a bit freaked out that this kid next to us had a gun. I guess that is good that guns scare him. I guess I don't have to worry he will play with them. What is weird is Jon and I have never even talked about or showed him even play guns. None of his friends have play guns either.
Our cowboy. Easton loves acting like he is a cowboy. He loves running around the house with his hat and yelling, "Ya-ho."

Our little cowgirl.

Easton got to who-la-hoop. He liked that a lot.

1st Fight and Makenlee won

Well, it was not a real fight but today Makenlee was fussy right as I was making dinner so I went to put on a Baby Einstein DVD for her to watch, well Easton wanted to watch Backyardigians. I told him after Makenlee watched Baby Einstein. He got so mad he threw a fit. I explained that sister gets her show and then Easton gets his. He still was not happy so he had to go sit on the stairs for a timeout because of his fit.

Makenlee is 5 months today...

Here is the happy girl.

Swinging

I got the Johnny Jumper for Makenlee is jump in today. Easton thought it was a swing for her so he started swinging her in the doorway. She loved it. She was squealing and laughing the whole time.

I love my toes and fingers

Bathtime fun

I have been bathing the kids together lately. Easton gets a little crazy with the water sometimes but Makenlee doesn't mind very much. She just loves her bath and hanging with big brother. I sometimes think Makenlee is like baby Moses because she will float around in the tub in her little tub "boat".

After I am done bathing the kids I get Makenlee out and get her in her jammies then I go back and get Easton to do the same, well tonight this is what I found in the tub. He is a little big for this.

Guys Guys

Jon and I were in the car with the kids today and we are talking about a serious decison we need to make in the next two weeks. All of sudden we hear Easton go, "Guys guys" and he has his hands up like stop talking. It was so funny. We had a laugh.

Easton gets his own juice now

Easton can get into the fridge now. It is so funny. He'll tell me I want jucie, please. Then the next thing I know he is in the fridge and he will carry it out the whole carton of juice to me in the living room. I really like he is helping me out but I don't really want him going into the fridge as he pleases. What to do? Do I put a lock on it? He is such a funny kid.

Self Portrait

I had the camera out taking pictures of Makenlee. Easton likes to look at the pictures on the camera afterwards. So I took a picture of the 3 of us and it kept making me flip it back in forth so he could see the new pictures I took. By the way these kids get their blue eyes from Jon. I guess blue eyes are the dominant gene since I have brown eyes and both kids have blue eyes.

Look who is sitting up...

Makenlee is really enjoying sitting up all by herself. She is so proud of herself.

This Mama is getting old...

I turned 28 today. Whohoo!!! I am getting up there, but at least I am still in my 20's. I had a good b-day this year. It was fun to hang out with Jon (he had the day off) and the kiddies. We all went out to lunch then the kids went to a friend's house and Jon and I went shopping for my b-day but somehow he ended up buying more stuff then me (end of the summer clearance sale) and we got to have a nice dinner just the two of us. How nice to have an adult conversation, eat our food slowly and not be interrupted by a crazy two year old and a baby. That is a b-day gift in itself. To conclude the evening we wanted to go to Coldstone but the one we went to closed down. Boo-hoo so we had to go to Baskin Robbins. Oh well. I guess I get to celebrate my b-day again when we go to a different Coldstone over the weekend. YEAH!!!

Easton and Eli (E Squared)

Easton met Eli awhile ago but they have become buddies over the summer. I call them E squared since they both have E names. They have a lot of fun togther and play well too. It is nice too for Easton to play with another boy since most of his friends are girls here. What is funny is we almost named Easton Eli when we were pregnant with Easton. So I always tell Leah, Eli's mom, they would have been Eli squared. Easton went over to Eli's for the day when we moved. (Thank you Leah for doing that) Here are some pictures Leah took of the boys.

Easton played the piano and Eli played the guitar and they made music.

They are wearing their matching Crocs. Easton loves his crocs wears them everyday and Leah said Eli wanted to be like Easton and wear his too. So cute!!!

Summer is coming to an end...

The weather has started to cool off a bit. It is still hot. But we are getting excited for the Fall as it is so pretty with the leaves turning and all the Fall activities. Jon is excited football is starting. I am excited my Mom's group starts Tuesday and my children will be taken care of for 3 hours and I will get a break to eat, talk and recharge my Mommy batteries. We are coming up onto a year living here in 2 weeks. God has done a lot in our lives since we have moved. The times have been real faith building I'd say. But He is always faithful.

Moving is so fun...

We moved this past weekend and now we are unpacking, painting, cleaning and etc. We are busy making the place our own. We live about a 1/2 mile from Sammie and 1 mile from Trevor so Easton is excited to see his friends. Easton has a yard to play in and now can play with all his outdoor toys he has always played on the porch with. But now he has space to run around and spread out. We will post pictures soon.
