Just a Duck and Mouse

So my kids love to dress up. This is what they came up yesterday. Then they watched Higgley Town Heros. Easton is quite excited about going to Disneyland in a couple weeks. He said, "Makenlee is Donald and I am Mickey." This is the closest to Donald we have. Notice my son in a TV trance....
Side note-I think he thinks he is going to DL dressed as Mikey but he is not. That costume is too hot.

God of this City

***PAUSE MUSIC AT BOTTOM TO WATCH VIDEO***

This is an awesome song that really is stirring our hearts. Our church is in a series called Moved. Most of have felt compassion for our friends, neighbors and the world’s poor, but have we ever been moved by it? I think we can all get so caught up in our own lives that we can't see beyond our own problems to see others that are in greater need. I know there have been times in my life that has been the case. But I am trying to have a different outlook and attitude. It is good to be apart of a church that as a whole wants to take a stand and be that change.

Talking in his sleep

So I am sitting on the computer right now and I hear this moaning upstairs and I run up there and E says, "I want Daddy." I say,"Honey, Daddy is not home right now I am sorry." He then says,"I want my little sister." I say,"Sissie is sleeping." He sits up sorta disoriented and I say,"Do you want Mommy to give you a hug." He says,"Mommy hold me." (Too sweet) Then I hug him a few seconds go by and he is snoring.....

My Mom used to tell me funny stories about how I would talk in my sleep. I guess E got that from me....Too cute and funny at the same time.

Last week it was snowy, wet and cold. This weekend and today it is 70 degrees, gorgeous and sunny. We had to get outside and play. Who knows what tomorrow will bring so we are taking advantage of the nice weather.

Always check your child's homework

(Here's the reply the teacher received the following day)

Dear Mrs. Jones,
I wish to clarify that I am not now, nor have I ever been, an exotic dancer. I work at Home Depot and I told my daughter how hectic it was last week before the blizzard hit. I told her we sold out every single shovel we had, and then I found one more in the back room, and that several people were fighting over who would get it. Her picture doesn't show me dancing around a pole. It's supposed to depict me selling the last snow shovel we had at Home Depot. From now on I will remember to check her homework more thoroughly before she turns it in.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Smith

Monday snow

We got a call at 10:50am saying Easton's preschool was closing due to the snow. So we went and picked him up. The roads were a bit slippery. Jon had to drive up our street backwards b/c he kept sliding up the street. Crazy!! I am so glad Jon has snow driving experience as I would have probably ended up in a ditch. After I put M down. E wanted to go out and play. It was really fun this time since we had at least 2 inches to play in.

This snowman looks better then the one 2 weeks ago.

My snow cutie

Starting to demolish the snowman

Poor snowman did not stand a chance

Hardly anything left.

Starting his spring training. He plays even in the snow. Practice is practice.

Another snow day

We had another snow day today. This time M joined in on the fun too.
Note the first 2 pics are out of order.
After playing she wanted to chill out!!

Chillin!!

I told E he could go out back to play as I was getting M's pants she ran out after him only in her dipe and baby legs. She is a lil stinker!!

Of course I had to take a pic of her in her fashionista form

Insert the top 2 pics of M in pants now....

Later this afternoon and in pants we tried to makeover the snowman. The snow is really hard now so there is not much you can do with it.

It is a pirate snowman
