Learning to walk

I really thought Makenlee would be walking by now. She loves to cruise and hold on to stuff. She just recently got the concept of pushing and walking so she loves to do that. She got her new Squeaky shoes and that is what got her moving foward. It really is cute to watch her squeak around the house.

Gate Schmate

Yesterday I was putting some stuff away in Makenlee's room and I heard the gate click shut ( I accidentally left it open, I guess) and when I came out she was half way up the stairs.

The look she gave me was like you caught me.

Shark Tent

I got E a shark tent at the latest consignment sale I went to. He loves it. He slept in it the 1st night on the floor then we put it on his bed to sleep in. He loves to play in it and get eaten up( when we zip it) by the shark. Jon told him the story of Jonah and how the fish ate Jonah.

Berry Kids

It is berry season. YEAH!! The kids love berries as you can see by their stained faces and hands.

Let me out to play

It snowed again today and Makenlee wanted to play in it. She kept standing by the back door and she'd bang and grunt. As if to say, "Let me out to play."

All Wrapped Up

This is what I found the other afternoon. Makenlee was completely sacked out. Snoring. She was a tired girl. She got herself all wrapped up and she was snuggled in the corner of her crib.

College Basketball

Jon and Easton went to their 1st college basketball game today.

It's Snowing Today

After Surgery Easton wanted to play in the snow. He bounced right back to his normal playing self.

We got one of these swings to use on our patio. Makenlee loves it. It is cool when Easton plays outside so can she w/o playing on the ground.

The Grandparents came to visit

My parents came to visit this past Thursday and they left today. We had a fun-filled very packed weekend. The kids enjoyed their time with Grammie and Grandpa. Easton even spent the night with them last night. He had lots of fun and loved all the attention he got.

Thursday: They arrived, drove out to Chattanooga and spent the night
Being in a one room hotel room with 2 kids. Not the funniest as they kept waking each other up in the middle of the night. But oh, well.

Friday: We went to the Tennessee Aquarium. We loved it. Both kids loved the fishes and all that was there. Easton and Makenlee's favorite was seeing the penguins. We also went to the Mayfield Dairy for a tour and yummy ice cream.
We all love our ice cream.

Saturday: Mommy and Daddy get to go out on date. Yeah!!!

Sunday: Drove to Smokies and showed them that area. We did a little shopping at the outlets while the kids went to a kiddie play area.

Monday: Grammie and Grandpa go home on an airplane. Easton very sad to see them go. He kept saying, "Come back to my house."

Easton had his first Valentine dinner with a girl. Sammie came over and she told him over dinner, "You are my honey." I forgot to get a picture of the two of them togethter. They always remind me of a little old couple. At least that is what she acts like. She acts like his little nagging wife. She is always telling Easton what to do. It is really cute!!

My red-neck mailbox

Our mailbox blew off (it's been windy here, remember my tornado post) the post Monday and I kept putting it back on and it keep falling off. Well, since they won't deliver your mail even if the mailbox is on the ground I decided I want my mail. S0 I duct taped it until a new one can be put up this weekend. It looks total red-neck, I know....But I have only gotten mail once this week and I am expecting some special things this week, so a girl must get her mail. Ha. Side note, I would have not picked out a bright orange mailbox but you have to remember we live in ORANGE country. Our new one is nice black one.

Makenlee's 9 month Photos

She is nearly 10 months but oh well.

We don't watch the news!!

Jon and I don't watch the news. It is too depressing, I don't have time and the news in East TN, well it sucks. I'd rather watch grass grow then watch hillbillies talk about Billy Bob's truck breaking down at the Weigels or Cracker Barrel. No offense to my East TN friends. We just don't think it is good journalism either. We listen to the radio in the car. I read the paper when I get it on the weekends, but mostly just look at the ads. Well, this is how completly out of it I am. Today my Mom and my friend from CA call saying, " Are you ok?" "Why?" I ask. "There are tornandos in TN." "Really, where", I say. "Don't you watch the news?" "No" Well, I guess that is why they have tornado warnings on the news. Ha. Plus the 2 people I was going to vote for, they both dropped out of the race. Just goes to show I need to be more informed. I think I know the things I need to know and everything else is well, not important. Ha.
