Makenlee and Jocelyn

Here is Jocelyn and Makenlee. Her Mommy's due date and mine were a day apart. Except Makenlee came 13 days early and Jocelyn came 2 days late.

Makenlee hangs out a lot with her brother's friends, but here are some friends her own age from church. Micheal (7 months) and Jocelyn (3 months).

Tools

I found a screw under Easton's bed and so I asked Jon where it may have come from. So Jon looked and there was nothing that needed to be screwed in, but Easton thought something needed fixin so he went and got his powerdrill to make sure. Here he is under the bed looking to fix something. It is cute when Jon gets his tools out. Easton runs and gets his so he can be like Daddy and fix it.

This is what happens when you say chesse to take a picture of Easton. He always smiles but will shut his eyes. I'll tell him open his eyes and he will then do this. Can he smile with his eyes open? If I catch him really quick.

Makenlee is already 3 months

Makenlee turned 3 months yesterday. Time is flying by. She is getting a fun little personality. She loves to smile, babble and coo at us.

Guess who used the BIG BOY potty today??

Easton did. He went pee pee. I have never been so excited to see pee. I almost started crying I was so happy and proud of my boy. I cheered and clapped and then he started clapping and cheering saying, "Yeah." So I got out the BIG boy underwear out and he wore them for like 10 minutes and ran around like a proud boy. He then got to eat some of mommy's special peppermint ice cream as a treat. I hope he continues to show interest in the whole potty training thing.


I want to get him this. It is called Peter the Potty. It is a little urinal. Easton's friend, Trevor has one and it helped him get potty trained super quick. It is cool. It flushes and everything.

Swinging on the tire swing

We had a playdate at a friend's house and there was a tire swing Easton and his friends, Sammie and Trevor had some fun swinging on it. The kids just ate chocolate ice cream so they were all sticky too. Easton kept standing up on the tire and his friend Sammie kept saying, "You better sit down or you will get discipline." She likes to discipline Easton. It is very funny.

4th of July firework

While watching the firework show at a friends house. A firework fell over and shot at Jon it hit him in the leg. He know has a huge burn on the inside of his leg. He was holding Easton at the time and he lifted him up so it would not get him. So at least the boy was spared.

4th of July Pictures

Here is Sammie, Easton, Trevor and Erin. Sammie and Trev are Easton's best buddies. They have a lot of fun and get into 2 year old mischief together. But they always provide great laughs for us.

It was a late night. Makenlee was not a happy girl once the fireworks started.

4th of July

We had a great 4th of July. We had a BBQ at a friend's house and did fireworks there. Eston had fun playing with his friends. It was late night...Here is Makenlee in her little pod seat enjoying the show.

Park Playdates and Water Fun

Since it is getting hot here we have been enjoying playing in the water and pool. We went to the zoo with some friends and they have this water area for the kids to play in.

Easton has been loves playing at the park with his friends. He loves being outside.

Aunt Jeanne

This is my good friend Jeanne who has adopted Makenlee as her little niece. She wants her to call her Aunt Jeanne. Because Jeanne's nieces and nephews live in Colorado and Makenlee does not have any aunts around. She felt Makenlee needed an aunt here in TN. She is a good friend who is from the OC and moved here about 9 months before we did. She is my rock and is basically to thank for all the people I know here. She directed us to our church, to my mom's group and to other things here in the great state of TN. She is a great lady, who loves the Lord and loves to have fun. Her son, Trevor and Easton are good lil buddies, too.

Blanket

Makenlee was in her swing last night and she was fussy so I got her blankie to hold. I came back out of our room a little while later and she had the whole thing pulled all the way up over her face and all you saw were these two little eyes. It was so cute.

This is what happens when you ask a 2 year old to go get your shoes out of the closet because we are going bye-bye. You never know what they will pick out. I guess next time. I'll say, "Go get your sandals." Easton is a fashion statement in his monster rain boots.

Life with a two year old...Never dull

Easton is a total crack up these days. He tried breastfeeding Makenlee the other day when she was crying, he was watching veggie tales today and started dancing like a little hip hopper. He had some sweet moves though. Yesterday while I was feeding Makenlee he said, "Put baby down." He loves to turn the light on and off and so he'll go get his spiderman chair and help turn the lights off or turn them on. It is cute because the other day I asked him to turn the light off in our bedroom and he said, " Need chair to turn light off." Today Makenlee was laying on the couch and Easton went and got some books and started reading to her. Well, reading as much as a two year old can do. This age is fun. At least most of the time. Ha. Minus the tantrums.
